1. INCITING INCIDENT

After bumping into GEORGE VALENTIN (Jean Dujardin) after a movie premiere and creating a media frenzy, PEPPY MILLER (Berenice Bejo) arrives in Hollywood to become a star. (00:11:08)

2. LOCK IN (End of Act One)

After head of the studio AL ZIMMER (John Goodman) shows George a talking picture and declares it the future of film, the studio shuts down all silent movies and fires George (00:34:14)

3. FIRST CULMINATION (Midpoint)

After George’s movie fails at the box office and Peppy’s is a huge hit, George’s marriage to DORIS (Penelope Ann Miller) ends. (00:51:09)

4. MAIN CULMINATION (End of Act Two)

After George’s house burns down and he’s hit rock bottom, Peppy brings him to her house to recover. (01:16:43)

5. THIRD ACT TWIST

George discovers the room full of his belongings purchased by Peppy’s housemaid and butler at the auction. (01:25:50)
